Design Setting for Catalog

Configure Thumbnail Collection View for Catalog Items

 

  • In Design Setting Window, Click Collection Page Pane




    User can easily configure design setting for collection pages for catalog items (collection page refers to catalog item display section, from where, user may select the catalog item for detailed view.: 
     

Using Collection page Pane in Design Setting Window, user can configure collection page related settings.

  • How to customize  catalog structure

    CatalogBuilder facilitates catalog items to be published as:
     

    • navigation through collection group / subgroup (recommended) - if this structure is opted, catalog items are displayed as member of respective collection group / subgroup. A separate navigation pane is created by program to show collection groups / subgroups. Upon clicking any specific collection group / subgroup, only  those catalog items are displayed, which are grouped for specific collection group. This helps catalog viewer in quick and easy navigation across the catalog items.
       

    • entire catalog items option, presents the catalog without any reference to collection group / subgroup and under this option, collection group navigation panel is not created by program.

    User can select the either of the catalog structure from dropdown selection list.

     

  • How to configure view of collection page

    Catalog Item collection can be set from two available options:
     

    • thumbnail matrix view (Rows and columns)
       

    • list view (thumbnail view of catalog items appearing as list along with  respective details)

    User can select the collection page view from dropdown selection list.
     

  • How to configure collection group navigation panel

    This configuration setting is available, only when user selects the option of collection group / subgroup driven catalog structure. user can set the font color and background color for navigation panel.
     

    • click button font color   to select fore color of collection group navigation panel.  Upon clicking, program will prompt user to select color to be applied as web color. From color selection window, user can customize its color selection. (recommended to select web safe color from color selection window)
       

    • select back color of navigation panel by clicking button browse for color for background color . Upon clicking, program will prompt user to select color to be applied as web color. From color selection window, user can customize its color selection. (recommended to select web safe color from color selection window)

      To remove navigation panel's back color setting, click the button remove background color
       

  • How to configure contents of catalog items

    CatalogBuilder facilitates user to configure the contents display along with thumbnail view of catalog item. It helps catalog viewer in getting basic details, to prompt him to go into catalog item's detailed view.
     

    • User can select contents from the content section of the collection page view. the following details can be selected for display:
       

      • Catalog Item's Name

      • Catalog Item's Code (SKU)

      • Catalog Item's Price (currency setting in configuration window will be applicable)

      • user defined (as defined in configuration window) contents - Descriptive content is available only if collection page view is configured as list view for display suitability reason)

        If user decides to display catalog item's content in collection page along with thumbnail, it is recommended to set thumbnail border setting from thumbnail pane of design setting window.
         

    • User can decides to remove one/more content from catalog collection page, deselect the respective contents.
       

  • How to configure collection page's background color or background graphic

    User can set the collection page's background color or background graphic from this section. User can customize collection page color OR graphic setting in line with catalog theme and catalog needs.
     

    • click the option of collection page background color or background graphic, by clicking the option button
       

    • If background color is opted, then select back color of collection page  by clicking button browse for color for background color  . Upon clicking, program will prompt user to select color to be applied as web color. From color selection window, user can customize its color selection. (recommended to select web safe color from color selection window)

      To remove collection page's background color setting, click the button remove background color
       

    • If background graphic is opted, then select background graphic for collection page  by clicking button browse for background graphic  . Upon clicking, background graphic viewer window will open, for user to select background graphic to be applied.

      To remove collection page's background graphic setting, click the button remove background graphic
       

  • How to configure tool tip to appear on mouse over event for thumbnail graphic on collection page
     

    • User can set the custom tool tip for each thumbnail view of catalog item. Select tool tip configuration from dropdown selection list. The selection list gives user, the following options:
       

      • catalog item's collection group +  name

      • catalog item's collection group +  code

      • user defined tool tip for all thumbnails (same tool tip for all items) - if opted, user is required to fill custom tool tip input box.
         

    • This tool tip helps in catalog viewer to assess catalog item's details and also enhances search engine visibility for web catalog.
